A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION
BY THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT
REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO
TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY, BEING ANNEXATION NO. 230
RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, that
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Sanitary District desires to initiate proceedings
pursuant to the Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985,
Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code,
for the annexation of territory; and
WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is inhabited, and a description
of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, this proposal is consistent with the sphere of influence of the
affected district; and
WHEREAS, it is desired to provide that the proposed annexation be subject
to the following terms and conditions:
1. Consistent with State Government Code.
2. Contains 185.6 acres.
3. See Exhibit "A ".
4. See attached map, found certain by County Surveyor and
WHEREAS, the reasons for this proposed annexation are as follows:
Annexation necessary to provide liquid waste disposal and trash
collection for users within the territory to be annexed.
NOW, THEREFORE, this Resolution of Application is hereby adopted and
approved by the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, and
the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County is hereby requested
to take proceedings for the annexation of territory as described in Exhibit
"A ", according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner
provided by the Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.

District at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th day

ANNEXATION TO THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT - ENGINEER'S NO. 230
Being a portion of the First Addition to Fairview as shown on a map
recorded in Book 29, page 95 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California, and a portion of Fairview as shown on a map recorded in
Book 25, pages 77 -78, of said Miscellaneous Records, and a portion of
Fairview Tract as shown on a map recorded in Book 29, page 11 of said
Miscellaneous Records, and a portion of Lot A of the Banning Tract, in the
Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana as shown on a map of said Tract filed in
Action No. 6385 in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and
for the County of Los Angeles, being an action for Partition entitled
Hancock Banning, et al vs. Mary H. Banning, in the City of Costa Mesa,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District, said point being the southeast corner of Engineer's No.
217 Annexation to said District; thence along the existing boundary of said
District as described in Engineer's Nos. 217, 226, 82, 119, 123, 30, 2079
221, and 65 in a generally westerly, southerly, easterly, northeasterly,
southerly, southeasterly, southwesterly, southerly, easterly, and northerly
direction to the center line intersection of Fairview Road and Adams Avenue
as shown on a Parcel Map filed in Book 45, pages 8 -9, of Parcel Maps,
records of Orange County, said point being S0021'51 "W 1,623.40 feet from
the center line intersection of Fairview Road and Baker Street as shown on
said Parcel Map; thence departing the existing boundary of said District
along the center line of Adams Avenue as shown on said Parcel Map, West
529.81 feet to a point in the existing boundary of said District, said
point being the southeast corner of Engineer's No. 143 Annexation to said
District; thence along the southerly line of said Engineer's No. 143
Annexation and said center line West 493.75 feet to the southwest corner of
said Engineer's No. 143 Annexation; thence departing said existing boundary
and along said center line West 194.02 feet to the beginning of a tangent
curve, concave southeasterly, having a radius of 1,000.00 feet; thence
southwesterly continuing along said centerline and said curve 338.07 feet
through a central angle of 19022'12" to a point at which a radial to said
curve bears N19022'12 "W; thence departing said center line along said
radial line N19022'12 "W 60.00 feet to a point on the northerly line of
Adams Avenue, said point being an angle point in the southerly boundary of
Parcel 3 of said Parcel Map; thence along the southerly boundary of said
Parcel 3 West 416.72 feet to the center line of Pinecreek Drive, formerly S
Street, and the point of beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains 185.6 acres.
