A RESOLUTION OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT ESTABLISHING
BOARD COMPENSATION; ESTABLISHING MONTHLY LIMITATION OF DAYS OF
SERVICE FOR THE BOARD AND SETTING FORTH REASONS THEREFOR.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
THAT, WHEREAS, the Legislature by enactment of Senate Bill 1844, approved
by the Governor July 1, 1986, and chaptered in the Laws of 1986, Regular Session,
as Chapter 232 has authorized by amendment of Section 6489 of the Health & Safety
Code, a compensation of not to exceed $100.00 per day for each day's attendance
at meetings of the Board, or for each day's service rendered as a director at
the request of the Board, not to exceed a total of six days in any calendar
month, together with any expenses incident thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds that because of the time spent on Board business,
that the establishment of a compensation as heretofore set forth is reasonable
and justified;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that beginning for the month of January
1987 and continuing thereafter until further action of the Board, each Board
member shall be paid $100.00 per day for each day's attendance at meetings of
the Board, or for each day's service rendered as a director by request of the
Board, not exceeding a total of six days in any calendar month;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each director shall be paid his actual expenses
in connection with Board business;
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Director of Finance of the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District be instructed to note the Board financial records accordingly
and to commence payment as ordered by this resolution for the month of January
1987 and continuing thereafter until further resolution of the Board.

said Board, and attested by the Secretary of said Board, all at a-meeting of
the Board of Directors held on the 11th day of December , 1986
and that the same was passed and adopted by the said Costa Mesa Sanitary
District by the following vote:
