RESOLUTION NO. 70 -230
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA
SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING
THE COUNTY METHOD FOR PAYMENT OF LEGAL ADVERTISING, SETTING
FORTH THE RATES THEREFOR AND DETERMINING CERTAIN DEFINITIONS
AS TO TYPE AND KIND OF ADVERTISING.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
BE IT RESOLVED that effective May 6, 1970 the legal advertising
rates paid by this District shall be $2.80 per legal square for the
first insertion and $2.10 per legal square for each subsequent insertion.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a legal square is defined as 216 ems
of type; that type is to be measured under the American Point System as
adopted in 1886 by the United States Typefounders Association; and that
the Proof of Publication Affidavit furnished by the publisher shall
state the column width in Picas and type size in points used in the
printing of the legal advertisement and that said affidavit shall be
furnished to the District by the publisher without additional charge
over and above the advertising rates as set forth in this resolution.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be supplied
to daily newspapers published or circulated within the District and
to the County of Orange Assessor and tax collector.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 1970.
