Reso 1968-191�1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 I 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17'i 18 19' 20 21'I 221 23 24 25. 26'. 271!, 2811 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. /b,?-/9/ A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY:,; CALIFORNIA, RELATING TO THE HOURS AND DAYS THAT THE COUNTY DISPOSAL FACILITIES ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS; REQUESTING THAT SAID FACILITIES REMAIN OPEN DURING ALL HOLIDAYS. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY., CALIFORNIAr, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, trash collection within the district is made on various routes on a six day per week basis including holidays; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that the'County Disposal Facilities remain open during each and every day that trash collection takes place within the county; and WHEREAS, in the past said disposal facilities have been closed to the public and all trash haulers on certain holidays without notice to said trash haulers, this district or the general public; and WHEREAS, said closing has caused irreparable confusion and disrupted schedules to the extent that the contract haulers for this and other districts have fallen far 'behind in trash collecti and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare and particularly in the interest of good sanitation for the general public that all trash be collected and disposed of promptly upon the scheduled dates as established within this district. NOW,r, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 0 THAT the County Board of Supervisors be urged to maintain the County Disposal Facilities open on a 365 day per year basis in order to insure prompt collection and disposal of the trash within this district in order to promote and provide for the health, safety and welfare and particularly the continued and -1- 5 1 2 3 4'. 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 '6 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 2r, 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 necessary sanitation control throughout the district. II THAT a committee be formed consisting of representatives from this and other sanitation districts, municipalities, residential and commercial haulers, County Health Department, County Engineering Department and the Board of Supervisors for the purpose of establishing areas of responsibility and the methods and means of maintaining the County Disposal Facilities upon on a 365 day per year basis. III THAT a copy of this Resolution, when duly passed, be forwarded to each sanitary district, sanitation district, city, Board of Supervisors, County Engineering Department, and such other persons or entities who have an, interest in the subject matter herein for their attention. IV THAT a letter request accompany copies of the said resolutior to each sanitary district, sanitation district and municipality requesting that a like resolution be adopted and forwarded.to the Board of Supervisors and the County Engineering Department.
