A/0. // RESOLUTION RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT STATING THE RESULT OF THE CANVA.9S OF ELECTION RETURNS OF THE BOND ELECTION HELD IN SAID DISTRICT ON AOUT15TH 1950. WHEREAS, the Governing Board of Costa Mesa Sanitary District by resolution and order adopted July 6th 1950, duly called and provided for the holding of a special election in said District on August 15th 1950, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said District the following proposition, to wit: "BOND PROPOSITION: Shall the Costa Mesa Sanitary District incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $850 000 for the purpose of raising money for the acquisition and construction of a system of trunk and lateral sewers, including the acquisition of all easements and other property necessary therefor�If and, WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given iri time, form and manner as provided by law and said election was duly held on said date at the polling places designated in said resolution and order and the votes thereat were duly canvassed and the returns thereof made at the time and in the manner and form provided by law; and WHEREAS, on this 22nd day of August, 1950 at the hour of 8 o'clock P.M., said Governing Board has duly assembled at its usual place of meeting and has canvassed the returns of said election, including all absentee ballots received. NOW, THEREFORE, the Governing Board of Costa Mesa Sanitary District, DOES HERE- BY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:. Section 1, That the total number of votes cast in each of the election precincts established for said election upon said proposition and for and against said pro- position, the total number of absentee votes cast at said election upon said proposi- tion and for and against said proposition, and the total number of votes cast in said district at said election upon said proposition and for and against said proposition are as follows: CONSOLIDATED VOTING PRECINCTS YES NO TOTAL A 267 40 307 B 438 32 470 C 599 33. 632 Total Votes cast in District 1304 105 1409 Absentee Votes 32 -- 32 Total Votes including Absentee Votes 1336 105 1441 Copy Section 3. That this resolution, together with the certificate attached thereto, shall be entered in full on the minutes of this Board. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Governing Board of Costa Mesa Sanitary District on August 22nd, 1950, at an adjourned regular meeting of said board by the following vote: AYES: Dodd, Lord, Norman, TeWinkle NOES:: None Absent:: Nelson IN WITNESS of the passage of the foregoing resolution and order, the undersigned, constituting not less than two - thirds of the members of the Governing Board of Costa Mesa Sanitary District, have hereunto set their hands the date of the adoption of said resolution.
