RESOLUTION NO. 72-254
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, OVERRULING PROTESTS TO THE PRO-
POSED ASSESSMENT FOR TRASH COLLECTION, MOD-
IFYING THE REPORT ON FILE WITH THE CLERK AND
ADOPTING SAID REPORT AS MODIFIED.
THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY
DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Costa Mesa Sanitary District finds and
declares an Ordinance providing for the collection of charges of
general taxes pursuant to Section 5473 of the Health and Safety
Code was passed and adopted on the 5th day of June, 1968,.at a
regular meeting of said Board; and
WHEREAS, thereafter a public hearing was set for the
2nd day of August, 1972, to be heard in the.Council Chambers of
the City of Costa Mesa at 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, California,
at the hour of 7:30 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk has caused notice of said hearing to
be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the
District pursuant to Section 6066 of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the Board has.found and determined that
assessor's parcels are being considered in connection with this
hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Board finds and declares that written ob-
jections and those parties objecting in person do not constitute
the owners of a majority of the separate parcels of property
des.cribed.in the report; and
WHEREAS, after hearing all objections pursuant to
Section 5473.2 of the Health and Safety Code; and.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the objections lodged in.person and
in writing at the time of the hearing, the Board may find it
necessary to revise, change and modify certain charges on certain
classes of property.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the protests lodged
in person and in writing at the time of the public hearing are
numberically insufficient to constitute the owners of a majority
of the separate parcels of property described in the report and
are hereby overruled.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the the modifications, if any,
in said report are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the report as and if mod-
ified, revised and changed is hereby adopted.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk be instructed to
file a copy of the report with the County Auditor prior to the
10 day of August, 1972.
