MINUTES OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING
JUNE 89 2009
The Board �of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District held a duly- noticed Closed
Session on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:45 a.m. in the Board Room of the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District at 628 W. 19th Street, Costa Mesa, California 92627 to discuss the
appointment of a District Engineer and to discuss the performance evaluation of the
Interim District Manager Pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.
Directors Present: Arlene Schafer, Robert Ooten, Gary Monahan, Arthur Perry,
James Ferryman
Staff Present: Alan Burns, Legal Counsel

The Board of Directors adjourned to closed session at 11:45 a.m.
I. Appointment of a District Engineer and Discussion of the Performance
Evaluation of the Interim District Manager
The Board reconvened to open session at 2:10 p.m. and announced that a contract for
District Engineer needed to be prepared. The Board also provided additional direction to
the Interim District Manager.
III. Public Comments
There were no members of the public present and no public comments made.
President Schafer adjourned the meeting at 2:15 p.m.
