held at office of District 2057 (Rear)
Newport Avenue, Costa Mesa,California,
at 2 p.m. December 15th, 1949.
Present:Directors TeWinkle; Nelson, Norman, Lord,
Secretary Owen.
Meeting called to order by President TeWinkle at 2 p.m.
President announced purpose of meeting opening and consideration
of bids for garbage collection and other matters that might require
attention at this meeting.
Following bidti opened and recorded as read by President:
Giles E. Wallace .............$850.00
James Johnson 650.00
On motion by Norman, seconded by Nelson, all bids -were rejected
and deposit ordered returned to bidders.
Moved by Nelson, seconded by Norman, that Mr. Wallace be requested
to continue service under present contract'for one more month.Carried.
Moved by Nelson,.seconded by Norman.that County property be exempt
from 1949 -50 tax.
Moved by Nelson, seconded by Lord, that Costa Mesa Sanitary District
Regulation as adopted May 4th, 1944, be readopted and that a supply
be printed - 5000 copies - for current distribution. Carried.
Secretary - Manager instructed obtain additional data on truck cost,
operation and maintenance for further consideration of suggestion
that District do its own collecting and disposal.
Meeting adjourned subject to call by President.
