Minutes of the Board of Directors Special Meeting Held August 28, 1997
The Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District attended a quarterly meeting of
Independent Special Districts of Orange County ( ISDOC) on August 28, 1997, 11:30 a.m. at
the Municipal Water District of Orange County, 10500 Ellis Avenue, Fountain Valley.
Directors Present: James Ferryman, Nate Reade, Arlene Schafer, Dan Worthington
Staff Present: Lois Thompson
The minutes of the ISDOC meeting are as follows:
1. Sterling Fox opened the meeting and announced that Keith Coolidge is the new Vice
President of ISDOC.
2. Bob Hanson led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Bob Huntley gave a report on California Special Districts Association (CSDA), and
reminded everyone that the SDRMA election will be held at the CSDA Conference in
Anaheim in September.
4; A report on LAFCO was given by Phil Anthony. Mr. Anthony informed ISDOC members
• that demographic information is now available by request through the Orange County
Center of Demographic Studies.

5. The program featured Kevin Wattier, Director of Business Development with the
Metropolitan Water District, reporting on activities by the agency to investigate Business
Development areas within their organization.
6. Bob Huntley ' invited members to. attend the MWD Eastside Reservoir Tour in the
Domeningoni Valley. The next tour is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, 1997 -
7:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. The tour leaves from the MWDOC offices on Ellis in Fountain
Valley.
The meeting adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
No action was taken by the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
