Minutes of the Board of Directors Special Meeting Held July 8, 1996
The Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District attended a Costa Mesa City
Council Study Session on July 8, 1996 at 4:00 p.m. in Conference room 1 -A at the Civic
Center, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa.
Directors Present: James Ferryman, Arthur Perry, Nate Reade, Arlene Schafer,
Dan Worthington
Staff Present: Rob Hamers

The Board met with the Costa Mesa City Council in Study Session to discuss the
screening of refuse containers. The Council requested revised language strengthening the
City ordinance on the screening of residential trash containers as well as adding language
requiring users of trash bins to keep them in a more sanitary manner.
It was suggested by City Manager, Allan Roeder; that Rob Hamers and Bill Morris work
with City Attorney, Tom Kathe to create the proposed revisions to be ready within thirty
days.
No action was taken by the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
