Minutes - Board - 1993-01-26STUDY SESSION REPORT January 26, 1993 A Study Session was held on January 26, 1993, at 11:30 a.m. at the Civic Center for the benefit of orienting the two newly elected and appointed Board Members. Present: Directors - Perry, Sheafer. Staff Members: Rob Hamers, Manager /Engineer, Susan Temple, Finance Director, Florine Reichle, Assistant Manager /Clerk of the District, and Dawn Guastella, Permit Clerk. Guest: Yefim Tsalyuk, Engineer, Robin Hamers and Associates.. Mr. Hamers presented,an orientation program including the following topics: I. Ad 1. 2. ® 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. • ministration Formation of District District Responsibilities - Trash - Sewer Relationship between District and City District Boundaries Policy Manual Solid .Waste Laws, Tax Rolls, Rates, Refunds. District Sewer Lines, Pumping Stations, Odor Control Program and OCSD Facilities. In conclusion, Mr. Hamers noted that a second Study Session would be held for the benefit of the new directors to include observation of District field activities such as inspection of pumping stations, tours of C.R. Transfer, and Costa Mesa Disposal. A tour of Orange County Sanitation Districts is also planned for Saturday, January 30, 1993.
