Minutes of Board of Directors Meeting held February 3, 1993
Call to Order The Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa
Sanitary District met in regular
adjourned session on February 3, 1992,
11:30 a.m. at the Civic Center, 77
Fair Drive, Costa Mesa.
Directors present: James Wahner, James Ferryman, Nate
Reade, Art Perry and Mike Scheafer.
Staff present: Rob Hamers, Manager /Engineer, Roy June,
Attorney, Susan Temple, Treasurer,
Florine Reichle, Assistant Manager/
Clerk of the District.
Guests present: William Morris, Director of Public
Services /Tom.Kathe, City Attorney,
and Carol Jacobs, Administrative
Assistant.
President Wahner called the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m. After
introductions, Mr. Morris and Mr. Kathe made a brief presentation
highlighting certain points of the City's Licensing and
40 Permitting Ordinance and proposed trash hauler fees to fund the
City's administration of AB 939.

After discussion, the Board directed staff to prepare a letter to
City Council stating the reasons they believe the fees to the
District's hauler should either be waived or credit established
for the recycling program and other special programs that meet
the AB 939 requirements.
President Wahner adjourned the meeting at 12:55 p.m.
