MINUTES
Regular Meeting, Costa Mesa Sanitary District, Community Hall, Costa
Mesa California, December 7th 1944.

Minutes previous meeting read and approved.
Bill °,of Contractor Hedrick, services, Month of November.
Water assessment bill Newport Mesa Irrigation District,
year 1945, total 21 88. On motion by Dodd seconded by
Nelson, ordered paid.
Collector reported he had arranged with a hog raiser at
Anaheim to perform work of actual collection of garbage on
regular days, and under his supervision and control. No
objection.
Collector Hedrick then stated that he desired to take
advantage of terms of contract and collect cans and bottles
twice monthly, instead of on garbage collection days as
heretofore.
Upon motion by Nelson seconded by Lord, it was ordered
by unanimous vote that such collection days be fixed as of
first and third Friday of each month, and that circular be
printed and distributed notifying all residents of the District
of change to these days.
General discussion of misuse of dump by outsiders, installation
of signs, gateand improvement of road, had. President and
Secretary agreed to provide and place certain signs, while
Director Dodd and Collector Hedrick signified intention to
provide and install gate.
Upon explanation of understanding with Messrs Johnson and
Stites, owners of Lot 1001 that they would join with District in
expense of water line across their lot to give water service to
Dump Site, it was moved by Dodd seconded by Lord that we enter
into an agreement to cover such installation and right of way
privilege. Carried.
