Regular meeting Costa Mesa Sanitary District, Community Hall, Costa Mesa
California, 7 :30 P M September 7th 1944

Minutes of previous meeting read and approved
President reported having conferred with County Auditor
relative to proceedings necessary to issue Anticipation
Warrants, form of advertising, it being necessary now to
ascertain the manner of advertising and proceed accordingly.
It having been learned that Mr Oscar Flensberg was agreeable
to granting easement for water pipe line right of way over
his property between whittiier street and the S,W corner of
District property, it was moved by Lord seconded by Nelson
that Attorney Anderson be requested to prepare necessary
document to cover an agreement whereby the District would
be granted by said Flensberg permission to lay and maintain
a two inch iron pipe line upon and along the north boundary
- of Lot 1102, owned by Flensberg, from the west boundary of said I
O lot adjoining Whittier street, easterly to the S w corner of
Lot110l,'the property of the District there to connect with
pipe line of said District; said pipe line on Lot 1102 to be
laid at a depth of not less than two feet below surface of ground
and to have at least one standpipe or riser 2" in diameter with
suitable fitting located about erne -half the distance covered by
said easement, and another such connection at junction with line
of District at point of connection, to permit of water being taken
from both such connections for use of property Lot 1002. The pipe
Laid on Lot 140a to remain in place permanently and be available
to serve both Lots 1402 and LotloOl, or at least the eastefly half
of the latter.
Water Committee consisting of Directors Lord and Norman having
power to act were directed to proceed with the purchase of necessa-
t ry pipe and fittings to establish water service to Ground of the
District.
President and Secretary to endeavor interview owner of land
adjoining 19th street on the North with view of obtaining additional
rightofway to widen 19th street to standard 60' width.
Moved by Nelson seconded by Dodd that the &check for $3 10
received from Title Company in settlement of escrow, be endorsed
and cashed by Secretary and proceeds placed in petty cash for
office supplies. Carried.
