RE. PROPOSAL TO BEGIN DESIGN PHASE
PROJECT 1112100-166
MANHOLE& PUMP STATION COATING AND MISCELLANEOUS WORK
Dear Board of Directors:
I
As described in the attached excerpt from the yearly CIP report, the project goal is to apply a new
protective coating to various manholes and pumping stations along with other routine
miscellaneous work.
The concrete walls in manholes and pumping stations became deteriorated after continuous
exposure to a hydrogen sulfide atmosphere. The walls must be restored and a protective coating
applied to withstand the corrosive atmosphere. As described in the CIP report, at least 5 pumping
stations and 15 to 20 manholes require work.
Also attached is the Norris-Repke independent engineering review of the project.
It is proposed to complete the design phase engineering at the following hourly rates, not to exceed
$15,000
Engineering $ 63 00/hr
Surveying (2 man crew) 160 00/hr
Sincerely
Robin B Hamers
