BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COSTA MESA S.1TARY DISTRICT
HELD AT 695 W. 19TH STREET
` December 4, 1958
Roll Call Present: Directors Nelson, Norman, Porter, Hollister and Meyers.
Absent: Directors - None.
Officials.Present:, Assistant Secretary Swartz, Finance Director
Hartzler, Street Foreman Heller.
The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 p.m. by President Meyers.
Minutes Upon motion by Director Nelson, seconded by Director Norman and
unanimously carried, the minutes of November 20, 1958 were approved
as mailed.
Public Hearing The Secretary notified the Sanitary Board that this was the time
Annexation #48 and place fixed for the hearing on the petition presented to the
Board for the annexation of the parcel of land located on the
South side of Victoria, West of Placentia, being a part of Lot 35,
Tract 9.
The President then announced that this was.the time and place
set for the hearing of protests. The President then inquired
of the Secretary whether any written objections to the annexation
had been filed With him prior to the time set for the hearing.
�- The Secretary reported that-he had not received any written
objections against the proposed annexation and /or the inclusion
of any property within such annexation territory. The Assistant
Secretary had not received any written objections in his office.
There being no protests or objections from the floor, it was
moved by Director Norman and seconded by Director Porter and
unanimously carried that the hearing be closed.
Resolution #26A Whereupon, on motion of Director Hollister, seconded by Director
Annexation #48 Nelson, Resolution No. 261: to ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, was
adopted by the following roll call vote: ,
AYES: Directors Nelson, Norman, Porter, Hollister and Meyers.
NOES: Directors - None.
ABSENT: Directors - None.

Northwest corner of Harbor Boulevard and Adams Street.

Resolution #27A Whereupon, on motion of Director Hollister, seconded by Director
Annexation #50 Norman, Resolution No. 27A to ANNEX CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, was
adopted by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Directors Nelson, Norman, Porter, Hollister and Meyers.
NOES: Directors - None.
ABSENT: Directors - None.
Norse Street Mrs. Franzen, a property owner, was present.to inquire as to
Sewers when,work would begin on the installation of the sewer main on
Norse Street. Assistant Secretary Swartz reported that he had
received the deed with all the necessary signatures and that
work could begin immediately.
Annexation It was moved by Director Norman, seconded by Director Porter
Paying off Bond. and unanimously carried that the Director of Finance be
authorized to pay in full Bond No. 238, Series,l for the
improvement of sewer installation in Annexation No. 27.
1 '.'inancial Report Upon motion of Director Porter, seconded by Director Hollister
and unanimously carried, the Financial Report for November was
accepted.and filed.
At this time Director Nelson asked to be excused from the meeting.
House Count A communication was read from Street Foreman Heller requesting
an addition of 88 units to the house count. It was moved by
Director Hollister, seconded by Director Norman and unanimously
carried that 88 units be added to the house count making a total
of 11, 433 -as of berr 1958.

WR #36 Upon motion of Director Norman, seconded by Director Hollister,
Warrant Resolution #36 for payment of $12,285.49 from the
Running Expense Fund was ordered paid by the following roll
call vote:
AYES: Directors Norman, Porter, Hollister and Meyers.
NOES: Directors - None.
ABSENT: Director - Nelson.
Annexation #19 On motion by Director Hollister, seconded by Director Porter,
Quit -claim it was unanimously carried that upon completion of the Sanitary
Sewer System Project, known and designated as Annexation No. 19,
the Costa Mesa Sanitary District will quit -claim to the Irvine
Company the easement over and along the property described as
follows:
Over and across a strip of land 10.00 feet in width
lying within Lot 148, Block 5, of Irvine's Subdivision
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 1, page 88

Annexation #19 of Miscellaneous Record Maps, Records of Orange County,
Quit -Claim California, the centerline of which is described as
(Con t) follows:
Beginning at a point in the centerline of Palisades Road,
as said centerline is described in that certain deed to
the County of Orange recorded in Book 294, page 272 of
Official Records of Orange County, distant thereon
South 500 12' 09" East 1386.11 feet from the centerline
of Santa Ana Avenue;-thence South 420 03' 4o" West 331.7+
feet, more or less, to the Southwesterly line of the ease-
ment granted to the Orange County Flood Control District,
recorded February 21, 1949, in Book 180+, page 432 of
Official Records of Orange County.
Provided that simultaneously therewith said Irvine Company
delivers to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District an easement over
and along the following described property:
A strip of land 10 feet in width lying within Lot 148,
Block 5 of Irvine's Subdivision, as shown on a map thereof
recorded.in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Record Maps,
Records of Orange County, California; the centerline of
which is described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northeasterly line of Lot
14% North 500 11' 26" West, 905:00 feet distant thereon
• from the northwesterly line of Tract No. 706, as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 21, page 25 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County; thence South
390 48' 31" West, 252.38 feet; thence South 500 22' 59" West,
64 feet, more or less, to the easterly line of Tract No. 456,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 17, page 9 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
Adjournment It was moved by Director Hollister, seconded by Director Porter
and unanimously carried to adjourn at 8:00 p.m. to December 18,
1958 at 7:30 p.m.
