Roll Call Present: Directors LTelson, Norman, Hollister, Heyersa,
Absent: Director Porter.
Officials Present: Assistant City Manager Swartz, Finance Director

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. 111. by President i1ieyers.
14inutes Upon motion% of Director Norman, seconded by Director Hollister,
and unanimously carried the minutes of the February 6 meeting
were approved as written and mailed.
Financial report Upon motioni of Director Nelson, 'secoiided by Director Norman,
and unanimously carried the Financiai Report for Febr,.)ary was
ordered accepted and filed.
Communication A communication was read by President iHeyers from the City

ions to the proposed 19th Street Improvement District.
Dist. In the petition it was stated that the' sewer in T,I. 18th Street
,was put in too sh^llow.
The engineer showed a map to the board and a brief discussion
followed.
It was moved by Director Hollister, seconded. br Director t•felson,
and unanimou.sly carried to authorize the installation of one house
connection and instruct that steps be taken to acquire the
easement, and make an engineering study of the easement:
The board advised the Assistant District Manager to answer the
letter.

Warrant Resolution t26 for payment of ';`'15,279.17 from the
Running Expense Fend was ordered paid bar the following roll
call vote:
AYES: Directors Nelson, Norman, Hollister, Aeyersi
1-TOES: Directors - None
ABSENT: Director Porter,
House Count A communication was read from- !�.en.neth Price requesting an addition
of 29 units to the house count. It was moved by Director Norman,
seconded by Director I<elson, and unanimously carried that 29 units
be added to the house count making a total of 9,228 units as of
March 1, 1958.
Annexation #19 =The Engineer asked the board their wishes concerning the area
Santa Ana. Hgts.. to be included in plans for severing Annexation #19. After
briefly consulting maps, it was :roved by Director Nelson,
seconded by Director Hollister, and unanimously carried
that the engineer be instructed to include all the area in the
vicinity of Net,Tport Blvd. and Palisades Road that is now in the .
District in plans for seT• *ering Annexation ,x`19.

Abandoning of The attorney presented to t1le board a check from Dice & Colegrove
Easement - Massing for 1,500.00 for the abandoning of a 10' easement on property
owned by 14innie ii. Plessing, tentatively described as Tract #1634.

Salvage The Street Foreman raised the question of salvaging from the
abandoned easement and wa.s advised that it could be done.
Agreement - I'n agreement between the Sanitary District and Dike and Colegrove
San. Dist. &I was presented to the board for reimbursement if anyone on the
?' ?:e ' Colegrove extension ,of T,.!estminster ,Street or Sierks Street hooks onto
sewer lines, installed at the expense of Dike L Colegrove. The
agreement required that Sanitary District agrees for a period
of five years that no connections can be made except:
1. That a payment of )1;290.75 be made to Dike & Colegrove
for hookup by property on the extension of Westminster.

2. Th.�-),t a payment of ;1.31 per front foot 'of the property
. desiring to make the connection be made to Dike x
Coley --rove for the property on Szerks Street.
' The Sanitary District procedure would be to refuse anyone permission
to,hook on to these lines until they show a -receipt sinned by
Santa Ana L'anchos for the proper amount.
It ijaas moved by Director nollister3 seconded by .Director i,elson,
and unanimously carried approving the agreement and authorizing
the President and Secretary to sign in behalf of the district.
Trash & Garbage `discussion was held on the trash and garbage proposal. The
Proposal board decided to have the stone requirements dropped from the
proposal. After discussion, it was moved by Director Hollister,,
seconded by Director Belson, and unanimously carried instructing
that the contract be let for bid and that bids be opened April
3, 1958.
1'en Price 11r. Price requested, perm- s"sion to change pick -up dad *s of certain alleys
Request to aid pick -up schedule. He was advised to get permission from
the District Manager.
