A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE COSTA MESA SANITARY
DISTRICT REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION
COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
TERRITORY, BEING ENGINEER'S NO. 248.
RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District, that:
1. The Costa Mesa Sanitary District desires to initiate proceedings pursuant to the
Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with
Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the annexation of territory and therefore
does hereby adopt this resolution of application pursuant to Government Code Section 56800 et
se=c . and Government Code Section 56700.
2. The territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited, and a description of the
boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein.
3. The proposed terms and conditions of the annexation are as follows:
(a) Property owner to conform to all Costa Mesa Sanitary District Ordinances,
Policies, Rules and Regulations.
(b) Connection to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District sewer system to meet all District
standards.
(c) Applicable fees for sewer service shall apply.
4. The reasons for the proposed annexation are to provide liquid waste disposal for
users within the territory to be annexed.
5. That pursuant to Government Code Section 56800 subsection (c) and Government
Code Section 56653 this resolution is submitted with a plan for services.
6. The Board of Directors does hereby request the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Orange County to take proceedings for the annexation of territory as described
in Exhibit "A ", according to the terms and conditions stated above and in the manner provided
by the Cortese -Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985.
7. That this proposal is consistent with the District's sphere of influence.
8. The Clerk of the Board is directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with
the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission pursuant to Government Code
Section 56802.

Annexation to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District - Engineer's No. 248
That portion of Block 6, of Irvine's Subdivision in the City of Costa Mesa, County of
Orange, State of California, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 1, page
88, of Miscellaneous Maps of Orange County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District,
said point being the intersection of the Easterly line of Engineer's No. 29
Annexation to said District with a line parallel and' 105.00 feet Southwesterly of the
center line of Route 73 Freeway as said center line is shown on Caltrans Survey
Control Map No. ORA- 55/73; thence departing said District boundary and along
said parallel line, S 35 °52'36" E 861.20 feet to a point on a non- tangent 855.00 foot
radius curve concave Southerly, a radial line from said point bears S 43 °05'01" W;
thence Westerly along said curve, through a central angle of 36 °18'42 ", an arc
length of 541.86 feet to a point on said District boundary, said point' being 149.01
feet Southwesterly of the Northerly terminus of a course shown as S 19 °28'45" W
400.00 feet along the Easterly boundary of Lot 4, Tract No. 456, recorded in Book
17, page 9, of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County; thence along said
existing District boundary as described in Engineer's No. 29 Annexation in a
generally Northerly, and Northwesterly directions to the point of beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains 2.14 acres.
