RE: 920 Paularino Avenue in Costa Mesa
SCOPE OF WORK:
Work includes providing all labor, equipment, tools, and services required to provide full
professional landscape maintenance on property 920 Paularino Avenue in Costa Mesa,
CA weekly on Mondays.
In general the work includes:
• Weekly visits to for maintenance of landscape, pathways, parking lot and
flowerbeds.
Regarding Lawn Maintenance
• All lawns shall be mowed and edged, weather permitting.
• All cuttings shall portly be collected and disposed of on-site, unless trash service
is not available.
• All sidewalks shall be cleaned of grass cutting, pine needles, etc. on same day of
service.
• Complete chemical weed, fungus, and insect control as necessary (materials cost
separate).
• Fertilization of all lawns not less than twice per year in accordance with
subsequent fertilization specifications will be billed as an extra to the client, if
needed.
• Re -seeding of rye grass during the winter season will be billed as an extra to the
client, if needed.
Regarding Tree Shrub & Shrub Bed Maintenance
• Shrubbery and tree beds shall be edged and kept weed and pine needle free.
• Shrubbery, plants and trees shall be trimmed regularly to contain their size in
respect to species, size of planter or relative to surroundings, and to the best health
of the plant (not to exceed 12 feet in height).
• Adequate watering of all trees, shrubs, and shrub beds unless not needed due to
adequate rainfall.
• Complete fertilization not less than twice per year in accordance with subsequent
fertilization specifications will be billed as an extra to the client, if needed.
Regarding the Flower Bed & Herbaceous Ground Cover
• Complete trimming, edging of all flowerbeds and ground covers.
• Complete insect and disease control on all flower and ground cover beds
(materials cost separate).
• Complete fertilization not less than twice per year in accordance with subsequent
fertilization specifications will be billed as an extra to the client, if needed.
• Perennial planting will be completed as a separate cost depending on the
complexity of the scope of work. Typically, small planting repairs will be
completed on the routine maintenance day at no additional labor cost (materials
cost only). If a separate visit is required due to the large quantity of work, a
separate bid will be provided.
Regarding the Irrigation System
• Continually inspect and repair all sprinkler heads for full coverage and
adjustment. Adjust heads as necessary to prevent over -spray on buildings,
sidewalks or other un -landscaped areas. Should poor coverage of localized areas
become evident, contractor shall rectify same by adding new sprinklers or new
lines. Such materials and labor shall be paid as an extra after approval by the
client.
• Contractor shall provide all necessary repairs to maintain system in effective
operating condition.
• Contractor shall adjust controllers and clocks for seasonal conditions.
• Repairs to system shall be made with originally specified materials or suitable
substitutes. Such materials shall be paid as an extra by the client.
• Major repairs such as controllers, valves and main lines, or additional installation
items may be charged extra at the current rate by contractor.
