A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, MAKING APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL
AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION OF ORANGE COUN'T'Y,
CALIFORNIA, FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY
TO THE DISTRICT, BEING ANNEXATION N0. 220
THE BOARD OF DIREC`T'ORS OF THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE
COUN'T'Y, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District,
Orange County, California, desires to initiate proceedings for the annexa-
tion of the hereinafter described territory to said District;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary
District of Orange County, California, does hereby resolve, determine
and order as follows:
1. That this application is being filed pursuant to the provisions
of Division 1 of Title 6 of the Government Code of the State of California
for the purpose of proposing the annexation of below described property
to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.
2. That the territory proposed to be annexed contains 32.56 acres
and is contiguous to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District and the territory
proposed to be included in and annexed to said Sanitary District is
specifically described in Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, consisting of one typewritten sheets and a map.
3. That a map showing said boundaries together with a copy of the.
above legal description has heretofore been filed with the Orange County
Surveyor and with the Commission and has been found to be definite and
certain by the Orange County Surveyor. Said map is hereby referred to
and by reference made a part hereof to the same force and effect as is
set out herein or attached hereto.
4. That the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited.
5. That the reason for the proposed annexation is.to obtain and
provide sewer service for the territory proposed to be annexed.
6. That the territory to be annexed is entirely located within
Orange County, California.
7. That the names of all the affected districts are as follows:
Orange County Sanitation District No. 7
Orange County Flood Control District
Harbor District
Mosquito Abatement District
County Library District
Metropolitan Water District
Santa Ana School District
8. That the Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District
respectfully requests the Local Agency Formation Commission of orange
County, California, to institute proceedings for the annexation of the
above described territory to said District.
9. That it is further requested that the said Local Agency Fbrma-
tion Commission order pursuant to the provisions of Section 56261 of
the Government Code of California that this annexation be approved with-
out notice and hearing by the Commission and approve and authorize the
Board of Directors of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District to annex such
territory without notice and hearing by the Board of Directors and
without election.
10. That attached hereto is evidence of consent and request directed
to the Costa Mesa Sanitary District signed by all of the owners of the
land which is in such territory proposed to be annexed.
11. That the owners who signed said attached consent and request
are hereby found to be the owners of 100 percent of the land described
above.
12. That the proposed terms and conditions to which the proposed
annexation is desired to be subject are described as follows:
That all annexation fees be paid to the District prior to this
annexation becoming effective.

ANNEXATION TO THE COSTA MESA SANITARY DISTRICT - ENGINEER'S NO. 220
That portion of the land in the City of Costa Mesa, County of
Oranqe, State of California, allotted to James McFadden in decree
of distribution of the Rancho Santiago De Santa Ana, which was
entered September 12,1868 in Book B, Page 410, of Judgements of
the District Court of the 17th Judicial District in and for Los
Angeles County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary of the Costa
Mesa Sanitary District, said point being the southeast corner of
Engineer's No. 117 Annexation to said District; thence along the
existing boundary of said District as described in Engineer's
Nos. 35; 88, 127, 71 and 117, through its various courses in a
generally easterly, southerly, easterly, northerly,
northwesterly, southwesterly, northwesterly, westerly, southerly,
southeasterly, and southerly direction to the point of beginning.
The above described parcel of land contains 32.56 acres.
Attached and made a part of is a map designated EXHIBIT "B ".
