Scavenging : In the month of January, there was a slight increase in the number of calls made to District HQs to report scavenging activity. Scavenging was reported o n the 200 Block of Fairway Place, 200 Block of Flowers St . (alley) & the 100 Block of Clearbrook Lane. Suspected offenders were all gone upon arr iving at all three locations. I will follow up and increase patrol in all three locations. Also, after several weeks of patrolling the area off of Princeton Dr, on January 22, I stopped three different individuals scavenging in the following locations: 20 0 Block of Loyola Road, 300 Block of Wake Forest Drive, & the 2500 Block Columbia Drive. I gave all three individuals a stern warning, got as much information as poss ible, and took pictures. I will continue to patrol the area and enforce accordingly. Trash Container Enforcement : In the month of January, there was one complaint reported to the District HQs regarding addresses that leave their trash bins in p ublic view . I made a visit to the following address: • 1105 Salinas Ave – This has been a concern in the past; spoke to tenants and explained to them CMSD trash regulations. They agreed to remove the trash bins from the curb in a timely manner. I will follow up. I will follow up on these addresses and previous complaints to ensure compliance.
