Telephone Directories Program - November 1998 Collection with Public/Private
Schools
The subject of the sizes of the schools participating in the program and costs involved
was brought to the attention of the Committee by Director Ferryman who suggested the
size of school could determine how much they would receive from the program.
Director Worthington suggested using other collection sites could offset costs associated
with the school program. Possible other bin locations were discussed such as parking
structures of local'high -rise office buildings. Ms. Thompson reported, with an. estimated
thirty schools participating in the program, Costa Mesa Disposal would have to rent
extra bins for the school program, or for the smaller schools provide Hauler 100's
instead of bins.
Director Worthington suggested using "clip art" of a child pulling a red wagon,
collecting telephone directories as a means of promoting the program.
